The City of Negaunee is gearing up for the 2025 Heikki Lunta Winter Festival happening next month. The winter celebration is coming up with activities Friday through Sunday, February 7-9th. City Manager Nate Heffron previewed some of the big events with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Heffron said the weekend features multiple outdoor events celebrating winter, including the Meijer State Games opening ceremonies, a snowboarding Rail Jam competition, fat tire bike race, an ice fishing tournament on Teal Lake and winter fireworks.
