H.J. Larson & Sons has announced the sale of one of its properties, The Ramada Inn, to MQT Collection6, LLC, an affiliate of the Base Hospitality Group. The sale will be effective as of July 2, 2024. The Ramada Inn, a prominent establishment in downtown Marquette, holds a rich history dating back to 1961 when Harlan J. Larson built the Downtowner Hotel, which later evolved into The Ramada Inn.
H.J. Larson & Sons expressed optimism that the new owners will uphold the tradition of quality hospitality that has been established over the past 63 years. The new ownership intends to retain the majority of the current employees, ensuring continuity and stability for the staff and guests of The Ramada Inn.
Despite the sale of The Ramada Inn, H.J. Larson & Sons will maintain ownership of The Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn in Marquette. The Holiday Inn recently underwent a major remodeling project, enhancing its appeal and positioning it for a strong future. The award-winning Hampton Inn is also planning future renovations and upgrades to continue its reputation as one of the top hotels in the area.
