Thursday, March 30 from 6 to 8 p.m., The city of Marquette is holding the very first ever State of the Arts event at the Ore Dock Brewing Company. The event is described as a “social and informational arts advocacy event that will bring together artists, organizations, businesses, and the public to discuss the current state of arts and culture in Marquette.” All are welcome as this event is free to attend.
The experience is for anyone who is interested in continuing to cultivate an art-centric culture right here in our favorite city. This is an opportunity for all to explain their own projects, and/or voice concerns/ideas about the incorporation of this ideology into the famed Marquette Master Plan. This event is married with the future of Marquette, so the happenings here could very well go on to influence many other artist’s lives. If your interest is piqued then you owe it to your art community to show up and show out.
