Marquette – The Scandinavian Midsummer Festival will be held on Saturday, June 20 at Presque Isle Park in Marquette.
The festival opens at 11 a.m. with the raising of the Swedish Midsummer Pole and recognition by flags and anthems of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Live music and dancing will be offered throughout the day, as well as food and beverage concessions, craft demonstrations and sales, and children's activities.
There will be a dance at 7 p.m. with music by Ron Jarvinen and the Backwoods Boys.
The closing ceremony will be at 10 p.m. with a traditional bonfire. For more information, call 226-8634.
