U.P. Sled Dog Association Presenting Festival Of The Sled Dog!

Marquette, MI – February 16, 2023 –

 The U.P. Sled Dog Association is moving ahead with backup events following the cancellation of this year’s running of the UP 200, Midnight Run and Jackpine 30 sled dog races due to inclement weather.

UPSDA Board Member Ross Anthony spoke about how the group is adapting with events after the cancellation of the races today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Anthony says the “Festival of the Sled Dog Powered by NMU” will replace the Friday night race start at 7:00pm in downtown Marquette.

He added that the Grand Marais community is also planning a Winter Fest on Saturday with food, bonfires and other activities.

Anthony says updates will be posted on the UPSDA website.
