Marquette, MI – December 8, 2022 – Larry Weaver is a fantastic father, uncle, and friend and so on. He has a wife Tammy and 6 beautiful children Michael, Janessa, McKenna, Chandler, Jaxon, and Kyler his heart and soul. Larry is the type of guy who would never ask for anyone’s help but would give anything to anyone if they need it
On June 21 2022 everything changed for the Weaver family. Larry went in for some minor bruising only to find out that he would have to be flown down immediately to the U of M by airplane for treatment and testing. Larry is now currently at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan being treated for the very rare diagnosis of “Severe Aplastic Anemia” This is a severe case with intense Treatment of Chemo, blood transfusions and a future bone marrow transplant. Some of the hurdles Larry has had is internal bleeding, bruising, nerve pain, headaches, and sores that are extremely painful in his mouth and won’t stop bleeding
Treatment has been difficult to administer due to his veins keep collapsing. On top of all the news the weaver family has to keep processing they were just told America is having a nationwide blood shortage and Larry is going to be without some much needed blood to help him get through treatment
We are asking for your help. It will take time for all the circumstances to get worked out but they will need our help! Medical expenses, travel, relocation and daily expenses will start to mount quickly.
Join us for a home cooked bowl of chili to help Larry Weaver. $3 per bowl, in the lobby of the Staybridge Suites on Washington Street from 4-7 pm.
