Marquette, MI – September 13, 2022 – Parents and grandparents: Gather your children and their friends for fun activities this weekend. Celebrate National Constitution Day with a free event, hosted by volunteers with the Marquette County League of Women Voters. During the “Hooked on Voting” event, children will be able to Vote for the of‘fish’al Michigan State Fish, choose a project to create more “Walkable Neighborhoods,” and check out all the fascinating stories about citizenship, elections, and government that are available to youth. The event will be held twice: On Saturday, September 17th in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library, from 10am – 3pm; and also on Sunday, September 18 at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum, 123 W. Baraga Ave in Marquette, from 12noon-5pm. All ages are welcomed.
