Family caregivers often report feeling isolated, stressed, and overwhelmed as they care for their aging parents, spouse, friend or other family member with a long-term illness or disabling condition.
Support groups provide a safe place where these caregivers can get social support, learn from others, discuss caregiving skills, and talk confidentially with other family caregivers.
UPCAP’s Virtual Caregiver Support Group, intended specifically for Upper Peninsula family caregivers, is currently accepting new members. The group is facilitated by a moderator and meets virtually from 2:00—3:00 pm EST on the second Tuesday of each month.
