Marquette County's new treasurer, Ann Gerioux, delivered her first annual treasurer's report this week to the Marquette County Board. Gerioux said that tax foreclosures in Marquette County are at 2 percent, while statewide rates are at 7 percent. The commissioners asked Gerioux to investigate whether some of the low interest earning savings funds could be transfered to higher earning accounts. – Pete Mackin, UP to the Minute Report
