Amy Poirer is the Regional Director at the UP Alzheimers Association. She discusses the Wraparound Program for people with Alzheimers or another type of dementia, and behavioral problems. The program began in October of 2006 with the idea that if someone needs help they will wrap around them with services. They have a family team, and a community team who work with the individual and determine what the best services are to “wrap around” them. Currently they have 26 refferals and 12 people enrolled.
