City of Marquette Winter Snow Fun Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony Thursday, December 2 2021

The 11th annual Winter Snow Fun Holiday Parade & 46th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for this Thursday, December 2 in Downtown Marquette. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Fair Avenue and will venture down North Third Street, ending at the Marquette Commons. The Marquette Commons is also the site of the tree lighting ceremony, which will take place following the conclusion of the parade at 7 p.m.
This downtown tradition transforms Third Street into an enchanted scene from the North Pole, featuring numerous festively decorated floats, vehicles and marching units. The United States Postal Service will be collecting letters to Santa along the parade route. Letters should include a return address so that Santa can write back. Following the parade, the fun will continue with the tree lighting ceremony at Marquette Commons.
For more information, contact the Marquette Downtown Development Authority at 906-228-9475 or visit www.downtownmarquette.org.
