The Gwinn Lions Club will be hosting it's annual Chicken Barbecue in Peter Nordeen Park on Sunday, July 1 from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at many local Gwinn retailers such as the Gwinn Medical Center, Gary's Barber Shop and Hair Designs by Dixie. Tickets will also be available the day of the event until all the chickens are sold. Due to construction on M-35, people are advised to park at the middle school and enjoy a stroll over the new covered walking bridge over the Escanaba river. Member Bill Rowe tells more
