Marquette – A Dominican Benefit Dinner will be held on Saturday, January 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 728 W. Kaye Avenue in Marquette.
The buffet dinner will be tossed salad with balsamic vinaigrette, avocado salad with red onions, Caribbean white rice, stewed pigeon peas, Roy's pork, creole chicken, country-style eggplant, yuca rolls with vegetables, fried plantains, tropical fruit salad, Caribbean-style cake and flan, fruit punch and Dominican coffee.
Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit Heart Care Dominicana, a nonprofit organization of health care professionals that delivers high quality, compassionate medical and surgical care to children with life-threatening heart diseases in the Dominican Republic.
