Marquette – The National Alliance on Mental Illness will present the film “Awakenings” on Thursday, May 28 at 6:15 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
The film is based on the true story of a heroic doctor's challenge to revitalize victims of a sleeping sickness epidemic in the 1920's.
Opportunity for discussion following the film will be led by NAMI members. The event is free and open to the public.
