Thursday, September 8 is the last day to register for the 11th annual Central U.P. Youth Day for Safe Hunting and Shooting to be held on Saturday, September 10 at Negaunee Rod and Gun Club. The event begins at 9 a.m. and is free to all youth 10 to 18 years of age. The event is limited to the first 140 entries. Ammo and equipment will be provided. Archery equipment in cases is permitted, but no guns are allowed. Call (906) 475-4173 to pre-register. The sponsors are the U.P. Whitetails Association of Marquette County and the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club.
