Odetta, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, will be performing as part of the NMU Performing Arts Series on Friday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Kaufman Auditorium on Front St. in Marquette. She has received multiple awards and Grammys, acted in film and theater, sung with symphony orchestras, and toured the world singing folk, blues, spirituals, and protest songs. Her latest release is a tribute to the life and music of Leadbelly.
