Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education member Keith Glendon has resigned his seat on the Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education. Mr. Glendon has work and family commitments that are preventing him from fulfilling the remainder of his term which expires December 31, 2020.
MAPS is seeking interested and qualified community members who are willing to serve until December 31, 2020 (when a successor is elected). For those interested, please submit a statement of interest to the Superintendent’s office no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 9, 2020. Interested applicants can request that their application remain confidential if desired. A Board Committee intends to review applicants and recommend a finalist to be approved by the full board at an open meeting yet to be determined. Just a reminder, all applicants must be a resident of the school district.
