Marquette, MI – The Marquette Regional History Center (MRHC) presents a Finnish Bird Carving Workshop Saturday, September 28th from 10:30 am-4:00 pm.
Instructor: Peter Pekka Olson. This workshop will focus on the decorative side of carving, and will feature a presentation based on Olson’s trips to
Finland. A master of Scandinavian-American carving crafts, Olson will teach participants how to carve an Onenlintu (“happy bird”) from cedar.
