Messiah Lutheran Church celebrates its 125th Anniversary on Saturday, May 20 at 7 p.m. with a cantata written especially for the anniversary by Marquette native Michael Shirtz. The cantata will feature familiar hymns along with new compositions sung by a choir of forty voices and accompanied by a small ensemble of musicians. Everyone is invited to join Messiah in this celebration of its past, present, and future in the church sanctuary. Messiah is located at the corner of 4th and Magnetic in Marquette. Concert is free, but an offering will be received to benefit a local charity. Call the church office at 225-1119 for more information.
