Marquette, MI – SPRING IS BACK AND SO IS BIGFOOT! Artist Dan Barrington’s 8 foot Bigfoot, last spotted during the 2018 Marquette Artweek, is now lurking at Travel Marquette (Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau), at 117 W. Washington Street, Marquette.
He is part of Art Speaks, A Marquette Poets Circle Interactive Display, during the month of April. Come hang out with Bigfoot and take a selfie. Join him for a reception and reading by the authors/artists on Friday, April 5th from 5 to 7 pm.
The exhibit displays the art and writing of local authors/artists: Martin Achatz, 2019 U.P. Poet Laureate, Esther Ayers, Dan Barrington, Milton Bates, A. Lynn Blumer, Lynn Domina, Amber Edmondson, Kathleen M. Heideman, John Hilden, Gala Malherbe, Dr. Beverly Matherne, Janeen Rastall, Richard Rastall, Christine Saari, and Alex D. Tadder. Each artwork is labelled with a QR code. Viewers can hear and see the authors online by scanning the QR code with a mobile phone.
