Marquette, MI – 40 Below Marquette County Young Professionals unveiled a new name and logo Tuesday night. The organization will now be known as Connect Marquette.
The organization’s board of directors decided to make a change after careful review, focus groups, discussions with current and former members, and gathering information from stakeholders and surveys.
The Connect Marquette name holds true to the group’s original mission of being a resource for young professionals, but also more inclusive to all community members who are looking to make connections with others in Marquette County.
“We wanted to get away from a number,” said Patrick Callahan, Connect Marquette Board President. “We did not feel that this group should put an age with the term Young Professional, and we wanted to be a place for anyone to come and connect. Whether that is for professional gain, or just forging new friendships, or trying to find new recreational hobbies, we want to be that outlet. We feel that this rebrand will help us accomplish those goals.”
The new logo, which was created by group member Mike Forester, shows arrows coming from different directions to one center point. The arrows together also resemble a flake of snow as a nod to our great county’s weather.
