Marquette, MI – Northern Michigan University’s DeVos Art Museum presents an exhibition titled “April South-Olson: Points of Interest.”
South-Olson is an Upper Peninsula-based artist whose encaustic paintings—pigments mixed with hot wax—explore the human connection to the natural world. Within each landscape, Olson aims to capture a single moment in time. The transparency of the material reveals the present moment while illustrating its connection to the fleeting past.
DeVos Art Museum hours are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 8 pm Thursday and Friday, and noon to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday.
