Marquette, MI – November 13, 2018 – Marquette Area Public Schools, the Shiras Planetarium, and the Shiras Institute are holding a luncheon/informational talk on Thursday, November 18 at 12:00 pm in the Shiras Planetarium. They will be discussing fundraising efforts to upgrade the technology and the planetarium. Announcements will be made regarding donations already committed and the launch of a public crowdfunding campaign.
The media is invited to attend. The meeting will end by 1:00 pm. A star show will be offered at that time for any attendees wishing to stay until 1:30 pm. Please RSVP to Shiras Planetarium director Becky Simmons at planetarium@mapsnet.org if you plan to attend. Media can enter through door #11 at the Southeast corner of MSHS. Some parking will be reserved there.
