Parenting 101 will be held on four Thursdays – March 30, April 6, April 20, April 27, at 7 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 927 W Fair, Marquette. There is a $7 registration which covers the cost of the material.
Parenting 101 is a 4 week DVD-led small group experience with some Homework for people who want to sharpen their parenting skills. It introduces two foundational concepts – the North Star Biblical values versus the Artificial Star values of popular culture, and The Family Mission Statement. The DVD-presenter is James C Williams, national parenting advocate and director of Parent Education and Asset Development for STARS, a school based program helping students make healthy lifestyle choices.
