It’s back! The return of the formerly known GUMC (Grace United Methodist Church) Sauerkraut Supper! For over 30 years this supper has been a very well attended meal consisting of Roasted Pork, a special recipe of sauerkraut along with mashed potatoes/gravy, and all the trimmings. There will be raffle baskets and entertainment for the diner’s pleasure or for those who may need to wait for seating.
Due to situations beyond their control the GUMC was dissolved and with it the loss of this supper. Several years have gone by and through perseverance some members of the group have realigned itself through The New Free Store in Harvey MI and teamed with the Marquette Lions Club to bring the meal back. This is an all volunteer operation and many hands make short the work, please call if there is anyone interested in helping.
The Masonic Temple has generously offered their facility to serve the community, as they do for so many others. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:00pm on October 11th, with tickets of $15 available in advance at 906-235-3553.
