A variety of general interest presentations on Upper Peninsula topics will be featured at the Sonderegger Symposium on Thursday, September 14 at Northern Michigan University. The event will be held in the West Science Building's Mead Auditorium, beginning with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and an introduction at 9:15 a.m. The public is invited to attend any or all the sessions. Some topics include geography of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the canonization of Bishop Baraga and Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company and the iron miners of the Marquette Range 1896-1946.
