Marquette – The Upper Peninsula Children's Coalition annual conference will be held on Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northern Michigan University.
The UPCC is a coalition of youth-serving organizations from across the peninsula whose main responsibility is to keep abreast of current issues, politics and policy development that directly or indirectly impact the youths of the U.P.
Keynote speaker will be Dr. Rob Anda, author of the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) Study. Also speaking will be Fran Waters, DCSW, LMFT of Marquette. Waters will speak on how the body responds to trauma.
Attendance fee is $50, with nursing, social work and prevention specialist CEUs available. Preregistration is requested.
