The Hiawatha Music Co-op will sponsor a workshop on “Songs of the Carter Family” on Saturday, February 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. led by Phil, Annette, and Salem Watts at Grace United Methodist Church, 927 W. Fair Ave. in Marquette. Participants are encouraged to bring their acoustic instruments. The workshop fee of $25 will support a new Hiawatha scholarship for a young person to attend a one-week traditional music camp in West Virginia. For more information, call 226-8575.
