The Department of Homeland Security will offer a workshop to assist fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service agencies with the process of applying for a 2007 grant through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The workshop is scheduled on Feb. 22nd at Bay de Noc Community College's Student Services Center in Escanaba, Rooms 525.1 and 525.2. The workshop is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and no pre-registration is required.More information on workshop locations is avaialbe at the DHS Preparedness Directorate's Office of Grants and Training website, www.firegrantsupport.com.
