Morning Bus Tour at Seney National Wildlife Refuge

Seney, MI – Would you like to get more out of your trip to Seney National Wildlife Refuge? Some wildlife can be difficult to see, but trained staff and volunteers know where to look or listen. Join us Monday and Friday mornings at 10:00 am to experience a guided tour of the Refuge. The tour will take between 2 to 2 ½ hours depending on the topic of the tour. We will be on the lookout for a variety of wildlife while sharing information on the animals we see, the history of the refuge and current management practices. Downtown Blueberry Festival, Marquette- July 27

Marquette, Mich.– The Downtown Blueberry Festival will take place this Friday, July 27, Downtown Marquette on Washington Street and Front Street. It’s from 10:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. and there will be tons of things to do with the family and tons of blueberries!

The 17th Annual Blueberry Festival will be bustling with sidewalk sales, food vendors, artists, demonstrations, pony rides, inflatable arcade games, and activities for children and families.

Downtown restaurants will satisfy your cravings for blueberry fare, from blueberry pizza to blueberry beer, while many downtown shops will offer “blue” specials. Local farmers will be on-hand throughout the day selling fresh produce, including mounds of plump blueberries. Music will fill the air as the live bands perform throughout the day!

Intro to Turkey Hunting Clinic – August 1

St. Ignace, MI – Join us at campsite 118 as we team up with the National Wild Turkey Federation for a turkey hunting clinic. This “A to Z” class on how to hunt wild turkeys will cover everything you need to know to get started, including how to find a location, scouting, calling and gear. Sault Ste. Marie, MI – Come out in the sunshine and have a competition with the fish! Kids 16 and under can enjoy a free day of fishing at the kids fishing pond at Rotary Park. The community has donated food, refreshments, and prizes for the event. All registered kids can catch three fish and register two.
