Marquette – The Knights of Columbus of Marquette will hold their annual All-You-Care-to-Eat Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for the Care Clinic of Marquette on Saturday, February 3 from 4:40 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral Hall, 311 W. Baraga Avenue in Marquette.

Dinner includes all-you-care-to-eat spaghetti, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverage. Tickets are available at the door.

All proceeds will go to the Care Clinic of Marquette and Sawyer which are limited medical facilities providing free and confidential services such as pregnancy tests, ultra sound, options counseling, healing services, community referrals, sexual integrity/health education, family resources closet and a program of authentic manhood.… Read the rest

Hancock – Finlandia University’s Young Women’s Art Caucus willhold their Soup-A-Bowl fundraiser on Saturday, February 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 323 of the Jutila Center in Hancock. VIP ticket holders can arrive at 11 a.m. to get their first pick of bowls.

This event is $10 and attendees will enjoy all the bread and soup they can eat in a homemade bowl that is theirs to keep! The bowls are made by Finlandia students and faculty. In addition, there will be a silent art auction hosted by the Young Women’s Caucus for Art.

Sample an array of the best U.P. brewers have to offer. Categories include pale ale, seasonal, and brewer’s choice. You must be 21 or older to participate in the sampling. Suggested attire: plaid shirts and Stormy Kromers.

Marquette – Superior Arts Youth Theater will host a Murder, Mayhem, and Mystery Fundraiser on Saturday, January 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at NMU.

This 21+ event will feature a raffle, cash bar, and a 1920s themed, live-action murder mystery performance in three acts by The Murder Mystery Company – a professional theatrical company originally based in Grand Rapids and now performing in 20 states.

Recommended dress for this night of murderous mayhem is all black and white or 1920s attire; flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, pinstriped suits and fedoras are all highly encouraged.

Negaunee – A spaghetti dinner benefit for Al Wernholm will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 2 to 7 p.m. at E. Ronn Union Hall, 1206 Baldwin Avenue in Negaunee.

On November 24, 2017, Al returned home to find his house engulfed in flames. Despite the efforts of the fire department, the house and all its contents were a total loss.

The cost for the dinner is $8. Children under 5 can eat for free. There will also be 50/50 drawings, raffles, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the benefit will help Al rebuild. … Read the rest
