VIN Etching Sept. 5

VIN Etching will be offered on Wednesday, September 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Marquette Branch of AAA at the Westwood Mall. VIN etching is the permanent marking of a vehicle's identification number on the vehicle's glass in order to discourage theft. The etching process takes about ten minutes to complete and only affects the outermost layer of glass so it will in no way damage or weaken the glass. For more information, call 225-6750.

The Marquette fireworks display will be held on July 5 beginning at dusk at the Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. In the event of rain, the fireworks will be held on July 6.

The International Food Fest will be held at the Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette July 4 through July 6. Food from around the world will be offered by various venders, live music, and kids activities will be included. The event is sponsored by the Marquette Exchange Club. Firecracker 5K Race July 4

A 5K race and 1 mile walk is being held on July 4 beginning at 7:45 a.m. at the Al Quaal Recreation Area which is located 1/2 mile north of the US 41 stop light in Ishpeming. Most of the race will be held on wooded ski trails, so wear appropriate footwear. For more information and to register call 486-8080.
