Glacier Glide is the U.P.'s longest standing outdoor winter art exhibition and will be held on Saturday, February 18 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Presque Isle Park. Youth art will be exhibited inside the log pavilion with free admission and the public can snowshoe, cross-country ski or walk the the groomed trails in the park while viewing original work by artists and community members. The Masons of Michigan are proud to announce that the most comprehensive Child Identification Program in the United States is going to be conducted at the Kaleidoscope 2006 Education Fun Fair for kids at the Superior Dome in Marquette, Michigan on Saturday, February 18 from noon to 4 p.m.. This program provides at no cost to the family's of Michigan's Children the following: toothprints dental imprint wafers, a video of the child answering questions that captures the appearance, speech, mannerisms, and important personal characteristics of a child, a still color photo with height and other information,fingerprints, DNA sample, and dog scent. All will be provided to the Parents or Guardian of the Child. The providers do not keep any information. These events are held across the state and are provided as a community service to the citizens and the children of the state of Michigan by the Masons of Michigan. This program will also be offered the following day on Sunday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marquette Masonic Building, 128 West Washington Street, Marquette, Michigan.
