DeVos Museum Reception to Honor Local Artists Nov. 4

The DeVos Museum on the campus of NMU will hold reception on Friday, November 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to honor 39 U.P. artists who have been chosen for its permanent collection. After the reception, a concert will be performed in the museum lobby by West African musician, Nainy Diabate and friends. This free event is open to the public.

The Lake Superior Detachment of the Marine Corps League is hosting the Marine Corps 230th birthday celebration. The event will be held on Friday, November 11 at Wahlstroms Restaurant on S. CineArts Film Series Presents “Campfire” Nov. 16

The Fall 2005 CineArts Film Series presents the film “Campfire” on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. The film is a drama from Israel about a womans personal journey to gain acceptance within a religious community. English subtitles. The film won five Israeli Academy Awards.
Culver's 3rd Annual Day of Warmth Nov. 15

Culver's of Marquette will join other Culver's Restaurants throughout the country in celebrating their 3rd annual Day of Warmth on Tuesday, November 15 by donating 10% of their sales to energy assistance charities.
