July 21, 2011

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)– The Great Lakes Center for Youth Development is hosting their annual U.P. Nonprofit Conference once again this fall, and Paul Olson, from the GLCYD, joined SUNNY 101.9′ s Mark and Walt in the Morning today to talk about it.

Olson outlined several of the topics being discussed at various seminars including building a solid board of directors for your agency to how to handle internal problems such as embezzlement.  He also explained how the conference is programmed to benefit all types of non-profit agencies.

One key item Olson also brought up was early bird registration for the conference.  He said that by doing so, you would be registered for some fun prizes, including tickets to see The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at the Calumet Theater or a silver “U.P.” pendant.
