DeVos Art Museum Director and Curator Melissa Matuscak joined us to talk about the latest exhibit at the DeVos on the campus of Northern Michigan University. She told us about the exhibit by artist Erica Lord, who is from the U.P. and is a Native American with some Finnish ancestry who has spent time in both Alaska and Upper Michigan. Her art reflects the balance between and perceptions of diversity in today’s world.
