Peter White Public Library’s Film Club welcomes the public to a screening of the modern classic film “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World” on Thursday, December 19 at a new time- 6:30 pm- in the library’s Community Room.
Starring Russell Crowe, Paul Bettany and James D’Arcy, this epic historic drama is based on the novels by Patrick O’Brian and set during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800’s. Jack Aubrey is a brash British captain who pushes his ship and crew to their limits in
pursuit of a formidable French war vessel around South America’s Cape Horn.
The ten time Oscar nominated film was released in 2003, is rated PG-13 and runs for 138 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
