Marquette – The Marquette Astronomical Society will conduct a public viewing, weather permitting, on Friday, April 3 from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Mattson Park in downtown Marquette.
The event is to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the first astronomical use of a telescope by Galileo in 1609.
Telescopes will be pointed at the Moon, Saturn, The Pleiades star cluster and Orion Nebula.
Children are especially welcome.
