Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will offer a Historic Bus Tour on Tuesday, August 8 at 1 p.m. beginning at the Center on Spring Street in Marquette.
Take an entertaining, narrated journey through Marquette. The tour is commemorating World War I during the centennial of the Great War. The route takes you through the Historic District, down to the waterfront, and through the streets of Marquette. You will learn interesting historical facts about the Queen City of the North as you hear a general history narration throughout the journey from your tour guide. Through colorful characters that hop on the bus to share their stories, you will learn how the people of Marquette were affected by the Great War, and what everyday life was like here one hundred years ago.
Advance purchase of tickets is strongly recommended. Tickets are available by calling 226-3571, visiting marquettehistory.org, or stopping by the Marquette Regional History Center during regular operating hours. Tickets are $20. Arrive ten minutes early to claim your seat.
