Marquette – A Matinee Movie event will offer a screening of “Trumbo” on Tuesday, April 12 at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Bryan Cranston stars as Dalton Trumbo, Hollywood’s top screenwriter in 1947, until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs during the Cold War’s anti-communist investigations by the House Un-American Activities Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Trumbo” is based on the book “Dalton Trumbo” by Brian Cook. The film is rated R for language and runs for 124 minutes. Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy the film in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
