Marquette – DocuMonday will screen the documentary film “Tim’s Vermeer” on Monday, November 3 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Tim Jenison, a Texas based inventor, attempts to solve one of the greatest mysteries in all art: How did 17th century Dutch Master Johannes Vermeer (“Girl with a Pearl Earring”) manage to paint so photo-realistically — 150 years before the invention of photography?
The epic research project Jenison embarks on to test his theory is as extraordinary as what he discovers.
The film was released in 2013, is rated PG-13 and runs for 80 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
