Calendar – Films/Documentaries – “An American Tragedy” Film Screening – Feb. 19

Marquette – Northern Michigan University, celebrating Black History Month with a Civil Rights film series, will offer a screening of “Scottsboro: An American Tragedy” on Wednesday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. in Whitman Hall Room 136 on the MMU campus.

It is a documentary that chronicles the events that incited the civil rights movement when two white women accused a group of nine black teenagers of rape. The event is free and open to the public.
