Negaunee – The League of Finnish-American Societies UP Chapter and Finlandia Foundation affiliate, will sponsor its fourth Finn Fun Day on Saturday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Negaunee Township Hall, 42 M-35 in Negaunee Township.
Finn Fun Day is a one-day mini Finn Fest with a program of music, dancing, presentations by a teacher of Finnish and a genealogist, special activities for children, a marketplace, a white elephant sale, and a “himmeli” craft demonstration. Coffee, “pulla” (cardamom coffee bread) and “juustoa” (Finn cheese), as well as pasties and beverages, will be available all day long. The festive day ends with a public dance from 4 to 5 p.m.
