Marquette – Award-winning author Jack Driscoll will read from his new book of short stories “The World a Few Minutes Ago” on Monday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Charcoal Room of the University Center at NMU.
“The World a Few Minutes Ago” consists of 10 stories told by Michigan characters from ages 14 to 77. Driscoll, also a poet, is known for his lyrical style that lets him tap into the depths of lonely people in tender, moving ways.
Driscoll will be available for a question-and-answer session and a book signing after his presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
This free event is open to the public and is sponsored by NMU’s Department of English, including its MFA and MA creative writing programs, Passages North literary magazine, and Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society.
