Marquette – The Peter White Public Library’s Afternoon Classic Films series will present “The Sound of Music,” starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, on Friday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room.
“The Sound of Music” is based on the true story of the Trapp family singers and contains the popular Rodgers and Hammerstein songs “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi” and “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” as well as the title song.
Released in 1965, the film is shown in color and runs for 174 minutes.
