Coming up:
Spring Break: April Showers Bring Rain Flowers
Wednesday, April 1, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Great Room. For
families with youth of all ages. Make and take home rain sticks and tissue paper flowers!
Children under the age of 8 must have an adult in the program with them. No admission charge.

Spring Break Film: “Moana II”
Wednesday, April 1, 2026. 12:45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room.
BYO lunch or snacks and join Moana and Maui in “Moana II”. There will be tissue paper spring
flower making while watching the film. Children under the age of 8 must have an adult in the

Books & Banter Book Group
Wednesday, April 1, 2026. 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Peter White Public Library.
Peter White Public Library Peter White Conference Room. This Book Group welcomes readers
interested in a variety of contemporary fiction on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 AM.
Book discussions will be led by Reference Desk staff. Book selection for April will be GIRL

Spring Break Family Storytime
Thursday, April 2, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room.
Join Ms. Holli for a special family storytime during MAPS spring break! Families with children
of all ages will enjoy this storytime with interactive stories, songs, and more. There will be a
springtime dot painting craft available following storytime. Children under the age of 8 must

Spring Break: Guided Family Painting
Thursday, April 2, 2026. Session 1: 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. | Session 2: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Peter
White Public Library Great Room. Limited in-person registration opens at the Youth Services
desk on Monday March 16. Register for 1 session only. For families with youth of all ages.
Work together as a family to create a still-life masterpiece guided and directed by artist Miss
Ella. Children under the age of 8 must have an adult in the program with them. No admission

Meditate Marquette Presents: A Year of Mindful Living
Saturday, April 4, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Peter White Public Library, George Shiras III
Room. Four mindfulness meditation and yoga teachers invite you to engage in a year of mindful
living. Each month, one of the teachers will present a topic that addresses the different
dimensions where we can practice mindfulness and presence. The intent is for us to cultivate
mindfulness, care, and well-being individually and in our love, business, and social relationships.
These are drop-in sessions, although committing to a full year is a way to build a consistent

Saturday Storytime
Saturdays, April (4, 11, 18), 2026. 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Peter White Public Library Great
Room. Songs, rhymes, stories and finger-plays geared towards babies through preschool with a
loving adult. Older siblings and older children welcome. No admission charge. For more

Art with Ella
Saturday, April 4, 2026. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Great Room. Join
NMU Art Education major Ella and create art! Kids of all ages are welcome – the techniques
used will be adaptable for kids of all ages and abilities. All supplies provided, drop-in program. .
