ESCANABA, MI –
This year’s U.P. State Fair will feature a seamless parking experience thanks to the dedicated volunteers from the local Knights of Columbus.
Between approximately 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on August 12th – 18th, Knights of Columbus volunteers will be assisting fair-goers in finding parking spaces at the U.P. State Fairgrounds. Their efforts aim to improve traffic flow and provide a stress-free parking experience.
As visitors enter the parking lots, the Knights of Columbus will be accepting donations, with a suggested amount of at least one dollar per car. The funds collected will support Pregnancy Services of Delta County (PSDC) by helping cover the maintenance service agreement for the facility’s ultrasound machine. This agreement ensures the machine, including its computer and probes, remains in excellent working condition.
The Knights of Columbus recently donated the ultrasound machine to PSDC and are committed to ensuring it stays in top shape. PSDC provides all its services and supplies for free, relying heavily on donations from individuals and organizations like the Knights of Columbus.
“This partnership with the Knights of Columbus and the Fair is really a win-win situation,” said Mike Mineau, Grand Knight with the Gladstone Knights of Columbus. “By helping people park their vehicles in an orderly manner, we will aid in traffic flow and provide a safer, smoother fair-going experience—and people’s donations will go to help a worthy cause.”
