The festivities kick off with the Marquette County Exchange Club’s Food Fest, running from Wednesday, July 3 to Thursday, July 4 in Mattson Lower Harbor Park. On the evening of Wednesday, July 3, prepare to be dazzled by a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. The vibrant show will light up the night sky, setting the tone for a memorable celebration.
The excitement continues on Thursday, July 4, with the Kiwanis Club of Marquette Parade at 2 p.m. The parade will feature a variety of floats, bands, and community groups, creating a fun and festive environment for all ages.
As a special addition this year, the Fireworks Committee has collaborated with Fresh Coast Light Lab to design a Fourth of July Laser Light Show on the Ore Dock. This innovative event, set for July 4 at dusk, provides a sensory-friendly celebration option, particularly for veterans with PTSD and others who may prefer a quieter experience.
