NMU’s ‘Lighting up the Holidays’ Begins December 1, 2020

Northern Michigan University will continue its annual “Lighting Up the Holidays” tradition in a revised virtual format. Beginning Dec. 1, an event website will feature DIY ornament kits and festive coloring pages, virtual letters to Santa, downloadable images for photos with Santa and Wildcat Willy, and a coupon for a free children’s book redeemable at the Barnes & Noble at NMU bookstore.

“Our intention was to create a virtual experience for campus and community families that mirrors activities that normally take place at the Northern Center, knowing that we’re not able to gather safely this year,” said Lizzie Corser, director of Northern Center and Event Services.

Free children’s book coupons will be available through Dec. 18, but the website will be active through Dec. 31. Visit nmu.edu/northerncenter/holidays.
