Marquette, MI – October 25, 2018 – Is the stress of care-giving affecting your health and disrupting your life? If so, attend the Powerful Tools for Caregivers series (PTC). This highly effective, self-care program for family caregivers, builds the skills caregivers need to better care for themselves as they provide care for others. Caregiver participants learn to minimize the potentially negative impacts of caregiving emphasizing self-care and empowerment.
Caregivers benefit from the PTC 6-week series of classes whether they are:
· Spouses/partners of an adult with a chronic condition
· Adult children of aging parents
· Long-distance caregivers
· In differing stages in their caregiving role
PTC training is now available in the Marquette area brought to you by the U.P. Area Agency on Aging/UPCAP. There is no charge to participants for this training and a caregiver manual and resources are included.
The next “PTC” training will start on October 29, 2018 in Marquette. This is a six week workshop which meets once each week on Monday’s from 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time, pre-registration is required.
